ABOUT David Gerstel: 

David is a veteran builder and author. His books are widely praised for the clear and expert guidance they offer both startup and experienced construction contractors.  After completing his degree at Brandeis University and University College (London), Gerstel learned construction literally from the ground up, starting as a ditch digger and becoming a journeyman carpenter, project manager and general contractor. As his innovative approach to general contracting won acceptance from clients and was adopted by other builders, David began writing about his methods.
